Arepa 3000: A Venezuelan Journey into Space
    Los Amigos Invisibles

Despite the subtitle, there’s no space exploration on the second U.S. release from the super-inventive Venezuelan dance band Los Amigos Invisibles. There is, however, a fair bit of time travel: One minute the six-piece ensemble is chasing (and nattily embellishing) a retro ‘60s mod vibe, complete with shimmering organ. Then along comes a snappy drum loop, and suddenly the pulse quickens, and we’re three hours into some Ibiza rave circa 2000, with the DJ spinning a weird mix of samba and stutter-stepping rhythm at 180 beats per minute.
Those transitions happen fast and reveal much about the intentions of this unusual outfit: Los Amigos approach music the way a globetrotting DJ would, segueing between eras and styles without ever compromising the essential Latinness of the pulse. In these grand, campy songs, hints of old-school cha-cha bump into Brazilian batucada, and grooves that echo rumbling ‘70s funk magically transform into gaudy disco fantasies (one of which is titled “Masturbation Session”). Often music drawn from such far-flung sources feels like gimmickry. Not this stuff. Following the example of Funkadelic, an obvious inspiration, Los Amigos Invisibles start with authentic grooves, and add the nuttiness on top. The lyrics of “El Baile del Sobón” amount to a derisive parody of the rituals of merengue; the music, meanwhile, is totally locked-up and utterly reverent celebration of the dance style. That cheeky comingling offers a hint of what the next utopia might sound like if Los Amigos have anything to do with it: One globe under a giddy pan-Latin groove.

    GENRE
: World/Venezuela. RELEASED: 2000, Luaka Bop. KEY TRACKS: “Mujer policía,” “La vecina,” “Masturbation Session,” “No le metas mano.” CATALOG CHOICE: Superpop Venezuela. NEXT STOP: Funkadelic: One Nation Under a Groove. AFTER THAT: Bloque: Bloque

On Friday, July 11th S.O.B.'s Presents Los Amigos Invisibles, the grammy-nominated Venezuelan dance band, beloved for their notoriously funky mix of Latin rhythms, disco and acid jazz.

Los Amigos Invisibles’ 2006 album, Superpop Venezuela, which pays homage to the Venezuelan artists and songs that influenced the pioneering Latin Dance group, received a nomination for “Best Rock, Alternative or Urban Album” at the Latin Grammys. While the motive was to shine a light on artists who came before them, the result was to once again solidify Los Amigos’ reputation as one of the most infectious dance bands on today’s Latin music scene.

  • Ten-Year Anniversary of KCRW's World Festival at the Hollywood Bowl Kicks Off June 22!

SANTA MONICA, Calif., June 9 /PRNewswire/ -- KCRW's World Festival returns to the Hollywood Bowl this June, celebrating a decade-long partnership with the Los Angeles Philharmonic Association that features fresh talent alongside the hottest and most recognized names at the legendary venue. The 2008 season offers one of the strongest line ups yet, with appearances by Gnarls Barkley, Feist, Devendra Banhart, Thievery Corporation, UB40, Ozomatli and more. (see below for full schedule)

Over the last ten years, KCRW (89.9 FM and KCRW.com) built the World Festival from a small series to a blockbuster hit at the Bowl, and one of the few series to ever sell out all season performances.

"KCRW and the L.A. Philharmonic have enjoyed an enduring and successful partnership. Since 2000, the KCRW World Festival has enjoyed sold-out shows repeatedly, and is considered the hottest - and coolest - ticket of the summer," said KCRW DJ Tom Schnabel, who is also the Program Advisor of World Music at the Hollywood Bowl and Walt Disney Concert Hall.

KCRW's eclectic approach to radio programming can also be seen in the line-ups for the six-show series, which showcase sounds from around the globe and pair the best of the best from a variety of genres and formats.

KCRW's World Festival kicks off on June 22 with a full band performance by Thievery Corporation featuring special guest Seu Jorge, and Bebel Gilberto, Los Amigos Invisibles, and Argentine singer-songwriter Federico Abuele.

Influential Brazilian artist Gilberto Gil and Venezuela-raised world-folk savant Devendra Banhart share the stage on June 29, along with The Album Leaf, featuring Mike Heron from The Incredible String Band.

Three KCRW favorites make their Hollywood Bowl debut on the same night. Canadian songstress Feist joins the soulful Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings, with the eclectic global pop of Pacifika starting off the show on July 20.

Grammy winners Gnarls Barkley also make their debut Hollywood Bowl, sharing the bill with Senegalese superstar Youssou N'Dour, who was selected as one of the world's 100 most influential people by Time magazine in 2007. Purveyors of experimental noise-pop, Deerhoof, will open the show on July 27.

The seventh annual Reggae Night features the Bowl debut appearance of the U.K.'s pioneering pop reggae band UB40 with legendary singer/ producer Beres Hammond and renowned dancehall singer Barrington Levy on August 3.

Ozomatli return to the Hollywood Bowl for the final night of the series on September 11, with its socially-conscious mash-ups of hip-hop, salsa, cumbia, dub, and Middle Eastern funk. Michael Franti & Spearhead, Mexican singer Lila Downs and Tijuana's electronica leaders Nortec Collective, performing with a mariachi band, round out the bill.

Tickets ($10 - 96) are on sale now at the Hollywood Bowl Box Office, via Ticketmaster, or online at HollywoodBowl.com. For more info, call 323.850.2000.

  • GLENN WOOD R.I.P.

The Fall of 1997 was the first time we went Los Angeles. Luaka Bop
took us there to shoot our first music video for "Sexy". We were totally
blown away with all the Hollywood glitter. It was too much for us at
the time, because everyone made us feel like we were going to be rock stars
soon. We were excited and confused at the same time.
That unforgettable week ended with two gigs where our label was
going to showcase us to some of the music staff at Warner Bros Records and the
media. We got to the venue in Silverlake and a huge, kind and sweet
guy received us with all the gear we were going to use on stage
    already set up.
When we started jamming during soundcheck he was dancing like
crazy. After the song ended, he approached us with his shy vibe claiming
that he played the trumpet. We never a had a trumpet on stage before,
so we were like...go get it! 10 minutes later, he got onstage and played with us.
Every jaw in the room dropped to the floor.
He was our first guest on stage ever, and he rocked the house that
night. Glenn was the man. The crowd went crazy when he played
    that horn.
We knew that we had just made a music brother. As time passed, he
became part of our family. Every time we went to Los Angeles, he was
there, smiling, telling funny stories and sharing his amazing vibe. We
loved having him with us . I loved the one about his bird giving him
the "don't leave me with your cat alone" look. He made us laugh a
lot. California will never be the same for us.
We feel really sorry and sad for his departure. We will miss him a lot.
    Take care super Glenn!!

  • Democracy and freedom of speech

"Freedom of speech and expression, especially about political and other public issues, is the lifeblood of any democracy. Democratic governments do not control the content of most written and verbal speech. Thus democracies are usually filled with many voices expressing different or even contrary ideas and opinions.

According to democratic theorists, a free and open debate will usually lead to the best option being considered and will be more likely to avoid serious mistakes.

    1) Democracy depends upon a literate, knowledgeable citizenry whose access to information enables it to participate as fully as possible in the public life of their society and to criticize unwise or tyrannical government officials or policies. Citizens and their elected representatives recognize that democracy depends upon the widest possible access to uncensored ideas, data, and opinions.

    2) For a free people to govern themselves, they must be free to express themselves -- openly, publicly, and repeatedly; in speech and in writing.

    3) The principle of free speech should be protected by a democracy's constitution, preventing the legislative or executive branches of government from imposing censorship.

    4) The protection of free speech is a so-called negative right, simply requiring that government refrain from limiting speech, unlike the direct action required of other so-called affirmative rights. For the most part, the authorities in a democracy are uninvolved in the content of written and verbal speech in the society.

    5) Protests serve as a testing ground for any democracy -- thus the right to peaceful assembly is essential and plays an integral part in facilitating the use of free speech. A civil society allows for spirited debate among those in deep disagreement over the issues.

    6) Freedom of speech is a fundamental right, but it is not absolute, and cannot be used to justify violence, slander, libel, subversion, or obscenity. Consolidated democracies generally require a high degree of threat in order to justify banning speech which may incite violence, untruthfully harm the reputation of others, overthrow a constitutional government, or promote lewd behavior. Most democracies also forbid speech that incites racial or ethnic violence.

    7) The challenge for a democracy is one of balance: to defend freedom of speech and assembly while countering speech which truly encourages violence, intimidation, or subversion"

  • "Niñas Mal" Soundtrack

Last weekend "Niñas Mal", the new son of Mexican cinema was released on movie theaters all through out that nation. A very funny comedy that tells the story of a group of rebel teenagers whose parents and teachers try unsuccessfully to educate, by showing them the path of the "good".
The good news is that one of our songs, "Media Luna", extracted from Superpop Venezuela, is included in its soundtrack. The CD is already available on record stores all through out Mexico.
    For movie trailers check http://www.ninasmal.com.mx/.
"Media Luna" is a song very well known in Venezuela. It was originally composed by Yordano Di Marzo during the 80s and it's our homage to this fantastic Venezuelan composer who inspired us ever since.

  • HARLEM-BOGOTA-MISS VENEZUELA

Although all the weather forecasts said that on Thursday the rain would be inevitable, Los Amigos were optimistic, praying the Gods to not choose our show time for letting go all their fury. Nevertheless, following the saying that tells everything happening is always the best, the rain that interrupted our show gave us the blessing of sharing with most of those buddies who always show up when we perform in our new city.

The show started and after the second song we already were under the risk of a musical electro-shock between rain and the equipment. Two hours and a few conversations later –they even gave me tips for taking care of my afro hairstyle-, we were able to go on stage again to perform for all of the restless folks who remained for us to heat on their Thursday night. A million thanks to you all, we know you got wet, we know that it looked better like going home, and that’s why we are happy you stayed; a million thanks.

For long time we got used to saying that Bogotá was one of our favorite cities, but after five years many of us already had forgotten why. Since we arrived to the airport everything came out like a flashback; with Bogotá is like true love, the food, the buddies, the “aguardiente”, the “bandeja paisa”, the Aguila beer, the “sobrebarriga”, the “Postobon”, all those strong folks… we arrived straight to the sound check. The Theatron is an amazing spot, the production crew made us feel like if we were Justin Timberlake, the folks from Divagash, Mauricio, Patricia Abad and her people, everything was so special that it seemed it was going to be an unforgettable evening.

The show couldn’t be better, real people those Colombians; they treated us like if we were home. The trace you left on us is going to last for long time. The feeling of being a band who doesn’t take the multinational support, but counts on faithful music lovers, convince us that our job, like we’ve always thought, it’s to continue doing the best we can as musicians not to defraud our people and keep enjoying it. We are in debt with you guys!!! You are not going to get free from us that easy!!!

The following day we had a great time with the folks from Divagash, with Mauricio and his tour through Bogotá, and at Flora Bar, where they not only treated me like a king, but also listened to the records I brought them. We’ll see you soon again; the truth is that we didn’t want to leave. Bogotá means for us that countries like ours have the chance to relieve a lot of pains and improve life quality day by day. It was pretty inspiring.

Miss Venezuela has always been a myth for Los Amigos Invisibles; to perform on the beauty contest, a dream. When we recorded the song for our new album, we could never imagine that Osmel and his people would consider us for anything related to their Institution. The Misses’ Show for the press was a lot of fun, with Daniel Sarcos presenting us, Osmel on first row, all the show biz people, and the best thing of everything, the misses marching around us while we played their hymn. Can you ask life for more? (Actually we can ask to be invited to the main show too, jajaja!! Genovevo, upload that video on Youtube ‘cause nobody is going to believe me!!!)

A million thanks to all the ones who gave us their strength this weekend.

  • Montreal - Brooklyn - Amagansett

From time to time, life has these wonderful moments when, defying the Murphy’s Laws, everything gets aligned, comes out good and it makes you feel like on your greatest time ever, with energy to follow ahead.

This weekend was real funky, on Thursday we woke up in Montreal, where a kind and lovely crew treated us just the way we all like. The festival was at a beautiful park, with a very mixed kind of audience, people totally opened to music that danced and enjoyed like if they had always known the band.

But Friday was a very special day, because the Brooklyn show was something we were expecting with much desire. Four people from the band have lived in Brooklyn for more than four years, going to the Prospect Park’s shows every summer, and on that Friday we were going back into that magical stage.

All the “invisible family” was there, I don’t lie if I say that the show didn’t miss even one of our buddies. The great weather, with its friendly breeze, made us forget the heat that was almost scaring us.

On Saturday we woke up to and drove to The Hamptons. A long and packed road took us to one of the places where we better enjoy performing. The Stephen’s Talkhouse is one of those great bars where great legends from the American music scene have performed. When you first arrive to the place and take a look, it’s hard to understand what’s so special, but when you feel the good vibe of the people who work there, the sound of that platform, and the positive energy from the audience who represent it, then you have no doubt about why it has been one of the more prestigious stages in the US.

A tasteful weekend, thanks to all our buddies. I would have to spend many hours writing the list to thank this people for coming. A million thanks to everybody, to the neighbors, to Quebec and to the dogs from The Hamptons.

    A hug for you all!

  • Chicago - Minneapolis - Twin Lakes

Chicago - Minneapolis - Twin Lakes

This tour was the bomb! To realize that we are getting to know the US better than many americans who live here, and we are doing it through something as hallucinating as music, is a total blessing for us.

On Thursday we arrived at the Green Dolphin, where Bert and his people treated us as always: great! The show was super flavorful, very "Thursday night", with many buddies and a lot of good vibe. Going to Chicago is like visiting the family, with lovely people that makes us understand how thankful we should be for getting the chance to go there from time to time, doing our thing. A million thanks to the crew that worked with us over there, specially to Bert and Family, to the pals from Burnett, and all those that made us feel so good.

On Friday we woke up on a rush because we had to drive to Minneapolis, arrive at MPR (Minnesota Public Radio) to play 3 songs in their studio, and go later to the Varsity Theather to do our sound check.

We were half our late on everything, but we made it. The radioshow was pretty good - I'll send you the link as soon as they upload it on the Internet- and from there we ran to one of the theaters with the best vibe in which we've performed ever. The Varsity Theater is gorgeous, a good place for concerts decorated with the best taste.

The show was wonderful, with many compatriots (thanks for the shot you gave me at the end, I still don't know what I was drinking but it was good) and a lot of new buddies from Minneapolis. We finished the show really happy 'cause the audience gave us too much good vibe; we went to the hotel with crossed fingers hoping that they will invite us again very soon. Also, let me tell you that I was about to assault the guy who was delivering a pizza to the other room, I still have the scent of those pepperonis in my memory.

The way towards the Twin Lakes was beautiful, with green everywhere. In a super warm day, we arrived at the Hedgpeth Festival - I love outdoors festivals-, and the sweat that constantly dripped from our foreheads, was compensated with the heat of the most respectful people we have met in this country.

To start the show in a tent with about 30 people, and then ending it with the place full of buddies jumping with us, that was a priceless moment. A million thanks for the good vibe, there's nothing we wish more than seeing you again pretty soon. Ah! And thanks for the cheddar snacks you gave us, they were so jummy (I stayed awake looking for the recipe on Internet).

    Take care!

  • Booosssttoooonnn!

Summertime, regardless of the extreme heat, has been great fun thanks to the people’s good mood you can feel on the streets.

On Saturday we all woke up, went to rent a van, got some breakfast, loaded the equipment – well, me, Cheo, couldn’t load anything ‘cause I was late, but following our philosophy, I got a fine- and we hit the road with some tasty snacks, our ipods full of music, magazines, books and the great Maurimix as our star pilot. We arrived to Boston, and after getting lost as we always do, we found the spot in which we were going to play two shows that night.

The first show was hallucinating. The place is used to presenting a lot of jazz, so much of the crowd who received us was very focused on the music, and there were also good dancers who gave the necessary relaxed touch to the gig.

We thought the people would wait until the second music set, but soon we found out that the organizers needed the people to leave the place quickly to fill it up again with a new audience for the next show. That was a surprise for us, since we wanted to play more for our first companions; please take our apologies.

The second show had a more drunk touch, with a lot of people standing up, madness, fun, fiesta, and while some folks listened to the music, others didn’t stop dancing in one of those unforgettable shows were there is no barrier between the people and the band. Amazing!

Nevertheless, the support of our buddies from Boston made everything even more flavorful. Thanks to Emma, Rafa Gomez and Family, Kika and the whole crew who joined us on that magnificent Saturday.

    We love you all!

Since this isn’t something that happens often so far, we need all your support so the channel can promote our music, and maybe we will visit your city sooner than you expect.

You can request the video at http://www.mtvla.com/canal/los10/

    A million thanks!

  • The Carolinas of Atlanta

That's how Mamel described our exquisite journey last weekend. We flew to Charlotte, in North Carolina, where the buddies of the superband “La Rúa" received us with open arms and shared with us the magnificent stage of the “Charlottan Rock 2006”, and we had a super-hyper-great time. A crowd surrendered to music, wonderful bands, and that endless party spirit that speeds up the blood that runs through your veins.

On the following day Atlanta's Variety Playhouse greeted us and "La Rúa" (our fellow travelers, who in addition rendered to us their amps for the whole tour), with a vibe that anticipated it was going to be a totally wild Saturday. Since the afternoon, local buddies called telling us how they were having the pre-party with enough beer to arrive at the show in the perfect mood. It was one of those days with an electric atmosphere, like in Full Moon. Although we were missing the “chicha”, at least we had the hug of our bros.

On Sunday we woke up ready to kick the road for another 6 hours to Chapel Hill. Again, the Cat's Cradle received us with the same crazy crew that always makes us feel at home. It was a show full of buddies, dancers and joyful dudes who we can't imagine how were able to make it to work on Monday, since we almost couldn't get off from bed the next morning.

Now that we are back home, we still can feel that warm vibe form the Southeast of the United States, one of the best kept secrets of this country, home of people so lovely that makes us feel blessed for being able to return something in exchange for all that good vibe they give us to fill our souls.

A million thanks to Tony, “La Rúa”, Bill and Mercedes, Mary Ann and Tony (thanks for the beer, it was delicious), to Ariel and Family, Xanthe and its joyful crew, to the Venezuelan bowling team from Chapel Hill (because we know you play better drunk), to Creative Loafing, San Pepurron and Sangapupis, to Eric, to the “chicha Guayanesa” maker from Atlanta, to Jorge for those fantastic Margaritas; in general, to all the ones that were with us this weekend in three shows that will be hard to forget. A million thanks, see you soon.

  • The First Single of SuperPop Venezuela in 12"

"Yo no sé", the first single from Superpop Venezuela in vinyl format or 12", will be available in US stores by mid August.

"Yo no sé" was produced by Dimitri from Paris and sounds like a refreshing mixture of organic Discotheque rhythms with the particular sweetness from Los Amigos, very adapted to the current summery heat.

This song represents the first release of Gozadera Records in the United States, and offers two magnificent remixes by the Super-phonics (one very house, and another one very funky), a remix by Dimitri from Paris, and the original track content in Superpop Venezuela.

  • Los Amigos remixing a Motown's Song

We were invited to remix a song from the Motown's catalogue -the legendary record label that marked the history of music by filling it with soul.

As part of this project -that puts together bands like Yerbabuena and Si sé, among others- Los Amigos Invisibles have been selected to make a remix of "Shotgun", a Jr. Walker's single which was a number one hit on Billboard for several weeks during 1965.

We have turned the theme from a very "soul" rhythmical base into a "Boogaloo", trying to imagine what would be the story if Mr. Walker had joined a gang of Latin musicians to make this song. The remixes'
CD will hit the streets by the fall of this year.

As soon as it's ready we will display it on this site, so you can listen to it.

  • Living and Dying

We've just landed in Hollywood! We were invited to record the soundtrack's main piece for the film "Living and Dying", directed by Jon Keeyes, and starred by Edward Furlong (Terminator 2) and Michael Madsen (Kill Bill, Reservoir Dogs).

The film's screenplay is about a bank's robbery, and we were requested to create a musical piece with a very western taste for the overture's sequence of the movie.

As soon as it's ready, you will be able to enjoy it at this site.

  • Urbe Awards & Ritmoson Nominees

This year we've been nominated to the Urbe Awards in the "Best Established Band" category. The truth is we don't believe that awards necessarily help our success, but why do we have to lie?? We wanna win!!

That's why we must ask for a little help from you in order to get more votes. The link is http://www.planetaurbe.com/premios_urbe/

On the other hand, we also feel very proud because our music video "Diablo", directed by JC Vega, got also nominated by the people of RITMOSON in Mexico, so if you want to give us a hand, you can help us there too.

  • Funky London Town

The truth is that we keep feeling lucky to have chosen this profession, because not only we have met hallucinating people, but also we always end up having a great time.

We went to London to play as the performing band for Chaka kan and Roy Ayers, in an event sponsored by Bacardi and hosted by the Dimitri from Paris. It was a very interesting experiment, we learned three songs from Roy Ayers and three from Chaka kan's repertoire; it was a lot of work, but we did our homework, and after rehearsing with them over there we were ready to do the job.

Finally the show was incredible, Roy Ayers was everything that anyone could expect from a musical hero, a true gentleman; Chaka kan instead, very sad and pathetic, made us think about how hard can be the fall when you get to such a high level, and its implications with the alcohol; but even worst was the restricted policy to get in the event -since it was a private show-, and the guiltness we felt because we couldn't write down all of our buddies' names on our modest guest list. A thousand apologies, we are still trying to get the show's recording, because according to Eric, our engineer, it was difficult to do so.

The show at the Sound London was a lot of fun, Jose Luis and his people were very kind with us, and the London-Venezuelan crew represented as good as it should be: Javito, Eric, Veronica, Gaby, Mariano, Bader, Gaby, Chani, Ricardo, Fucho and all the buddies that were always ready for the battle. Thanks for the arepas, and for taking such a good care of those of us who stayed in London spending the weekend with our ladies; the biggest hug for you guys, take care and we'll see you soon.

  • SUPERPOP VENEZUELA out in music stores on September 5th

Superpop Venezuela, our new album, will be available in US stores starting September 5th., 2006.

This fifth full length CD was produced by Dimitri from Paris, a world renowned producer from the dance music scene, and will be the band’s first album released by its new record label, GOZADERA RECORDS.

"Superpop Venezuela is our tribute to having been raised in a South American country, and to the happiness we feel differentiating ourselves from the rest of the planet for having roots in a culture as rich as the Latin one," says José Luis Pardo, guitarist of the ensemble.

The album displays the variety of rhythms always characteristic of Los Amigos Invisibles productions. It combines the contagious House of "Yo no sé" and "Media Luna" with afro-beats from the hymn "All day today," bossanova in "Rosario," salsa in "Amar es algo más" and much more. Los Amigos Invisibles’ important new album is more flavorful than a tasty dessert after a great dinner.

  • Los Amigos Invisibles honoring Rigo Tovar

Our band has been invited to participate in an exquisite compilation as homage to Rigo Tovar’s work. Rigo is the well known image of Mexican music and the collection will be known as “Rigo is love”.

We are proud of having been allowed to participate in the compilation inasmuch as we have been obsessed with Rigo’s work. It would have been devastating if we had not been given the chance to share with others in honoring him”, says José Luis Pardo. The song that we, as Amigos Invisibles have recorded for the tribute is “Mi friend, my wife and my lover”. Although we were faced with a difficult decision having to choose among so much good material by Rigo, Gerardo of EMI moved us to decide for said song b y explaining us the effect the theme had on girls.

The array will include versions by Alex Syntek, Sonido Drakkar, Cabas, La Lupita. Plasitilina Mosh, Nortek and Pepe Aguilar among others. They all recorded their music honoring one of the most passionate vanguard figures we have ever known in our dear Mexico.

“Rigo is love” will be available at record stores as from March 28, 2006.

  • Los Amigos Invisibles Vs Tito Puente

Los Amigos contribution is a remix of "Timbalón", original song from Tito Puente recorded in the late 70's. The compilation album will include remixes by Hex Hector, Thunderball, Masters At Work, Dan the Automator, Yerba Buena, Thievery Corporation, Carl Cox, The Chakadoons, Mario C., Cut Chemist, Cuica, Los Amigos Invisibles, and Ozomatli; the album will be in stores this April. • Ursula 1000 becomes invisible

Keeping up with the spirit of collaborating with artist whom the band admires, Los Amigos have entered the recording studio with Alex Gamero, also known as Ursula 1000, to experiment the music that makes their skeletons move.

The result was "Descarga en la discoteca", a song that can be listened to very soon in Urula 1000's upcoming album, which will hit the record store shelves on this years May.

The track, a mix of Latin Jam with Big Beat and Funk is just the beginning of the relation developing between both musical entities that will surely bring more music in the future, considering that the work flow in the recording studio was very natural.

  • Chill out Venezuela vol.1

“Chill out Venezuela vol.1”, is out on the streets now, the first electronic music compilation entirely produced by talented Venezuelans, who up till now, had escaped their national record label’s radars.
Sponsored and produced by Los Amigos Invisibles, through their label Gozadera Records, the compilation holds 18 songs from diverse artists that travel through genders like Bossa Nova, Trip Hop, Progressive Rock and other variants of electronic music thus constituting itself as an excellent album for listening and relaxing to the rhythm of new Venezuelan music.

Los Amigos are proud of being a part of this phenomenon that does not believe in record labels, TV stations or magic wands…” Said Jose Luis Pardo, guitar player for Los Amigos Invisibles who was in charge of organizing the compilation.
